Scope And Content: These are artefacts photographs sent to Winifred Lamb in Cambridge by Edith Eccles in 1939 (see smaller envelope, addressed to Winifred Lamb). The bigger envelope has writing on it by Helen Waterhouse. None of the photographs have annotations except for WL/141 which is believed to be written by Edith Eccles, who indicates that these artefacts come from excavations nearby caves (possibly Agio Gala) in 1938.
System Of Arrangement: Order as originally found. WL/66, which was within WL/64, has been separated and catalogued on its own.
has note: Accession number WL/66, labelled individually as WL/118-141. This was originally found, with LAM/3/3/1, in a Societe Lumiere box labelled “Prehistoric…..Berlin, BM, Oxford”, which has now been discarded.
